Rolke Tips for Plant Success

As you probably know, we in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, sit in the plant climate zone 8. It’s incredibly pertinent to understand this climate and how it pertains to your plants for your clients. The USDA states, “The 2012 USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones.” Want to know more about this subject, click to watch this helpful video on YouTube.

Once you understand our climate zone you have a better idea of why we carry the selection of plants we do. We want to set our clients up for success by providing a dense selection that will thrive within our particular climate. It’s always a great idea to study these plants, how they thrive best, how to properly plant them, what plants to group together and more. Some of the brands we carry have wonderful resources for our clients and their customers. Scroll down for some great sources we suggest you check out.

We’d love to hear from our customers what their favorite resources are online or on social media. Comment and share with us!
